Manifold Motion is a performance group which interweaves dance, interactive technology, visual art, and sonic landscapes to create original, experimental, evening-length productions. Manifold works with a rotating cast of Seattle based musicians for all their performances.
The first five songs represent the original score to Manifold Motions hit production Under which took the audience into the darker reaches; a beguiling re-imagination of natural growth, decay, disease, and perseverance. The original score was an active collaboration between composer and dancer across a broad range of character themes inspired by arcane figures of the under world.
Peloton asked original artists to reconstruct each others compositions in their own vision outside the constraints of timed choreography and theatrical cue. The result can perhaps be likened to other trends in what has been dubbed Hauntology, whereas Under exists amongst the ghosts of the under growth.
